The Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) unit introduces the core concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning, along with the Microsoft Azure services that support them. You’ll explore common AI workloads such as computer vision, natural language processing, document processing, and generative AI, while also learning how Microsoft’s Responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, privacy, and accountability) are applied to real-world solutions.

This unit covers machine learning basics including regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning, and provides hands-on exposure to Azure services like AI Vision, AI Face Detection, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure AI Foundry. By the end of the unit, you’ll have a strong foundation in AI concepts and Azure’s AI ecosystem, and be ready to sit the Microsoft AI-900 exam, a globally recognised entry-level AI certification.
